Thought you might have given up on them. They will be a good record of your travels and of course, the pictures will tell their own story.

Comment on Back in Lanzarote

Hi
It was very nice to get to know you!
Hey! I was one day sitting absolutely blank (wasted) looking at nothing when I saw this friendly waving from the cat nearby; It was you Matt. Keep up that optimistic spirit! Really not so common meeting people not busy keeping their noses to the sky.
We will meet again hopefully.
Levin

*** Note from Matt***
Levin had just completed a 5week solo sail to the Canaries on which his autopilot failed explaining why he was wasted, just in case people were wondering

Comment on Back in Lanzarote

hey CRUISERS!!! proud of yas!! tacking and EVERYTHING!! Cap Verdes has no marinas to speak of, and right now (till November apparantly)the winds are not too strong, so anchoring is quite ok, and not as much swell as in the Canaries, so less bruises!! have to brush up on the Portuguese though, no one speaks any other language!! having fun, swimming, clear WARM water, lots of fish (purchased from the fishermen of course - nothing likes our lures!) when will you be here?? keep up the good work! We are in the process of replanning as it looks like we are not going across the pond to the Caribbean this year but are heading back into Europe and the Med. (Well that is today anyway). I will let you know what we are doing and watch the map on the blog.

Cheers

Karen & Matt

Comment on Where we have been - a map of it all

Hi Matt and Karen

Just wondering when you might be in our part of the world...don't forget you are always welcome to visit us in Abu Dhabi. Good to see you're still living the life of leisure on the Canaries. When are you planning to do your crossing? Where will you make landfall? Getting crew?

All is great here - I'm on Long Island, rebuilding Constellation. I'm also getting a bicycle together to cycle across the country. Wah! Keep ribbing!

Comment on Back in Lanzarote

Ribs should be fine microwaved.
We are on the south of the island and the surf is up on the northern beaches.
